Britain’s Got Talent 2010: Simon Cowell loves ‘insane’ AKA (VIDEO)
First up on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent was a group of Newcastle dancers who raise the issue of having helpful subtitles for the non-Geordie viewers. It took me (and Simon Cowell) a while work out that they were called AKA and not EKE or EEE.
The little girl who acted as the groups spokesperson told Simon Cowell that they “are unique, a crowd pleaser and we love what we do”. The girls were just one big explosion of gold, it looked like someone had bought out an entire sequins section of the haberdashery shop and the makeup on each girl was more than I have ever seen on Boy George!
However, they gave a glittering, fabulous, acrobatic performance that had the crowd excited. Simon called the Tina Turner themed routine totally insane but put them through to the next round. Amanda Holden said:
A very sparkly yes for me.
