Britain’s Got Talent 2010: Spelbound on diet for final

Britain’s Got Talent finalists Spelbound have admitted that they are adhering to a strict diet until the final show is over.

The group got the most public votes on Monday night’s semi final, after a routine to Led Zepplin’s Kashmir which caused Simon Cowell to rave:

“I have never seen anything like that in this country. This is what this show is all about, finding undiscovered talent and you are that. Absolutely superb!”

They have since revealed that in a bid to stay toned (and as light as they can!) the whole group have given up fast food, though they will treat themselves to a feast once the final is behind them.

Leader Alex Uttley told The Sun:

“It’s all about eating healthily and staying in shape.

“But we will let ourselves have a few burgers when we celebrate.

“There is a drive-thru next to the BGT studio so we can take a trip there if it all goes well.”

On what they have planned for the final, Alex added that they are hoping to get the judges involved in their daring routine.

He said: “We are still working on it. We are hopefully going to put on an even better show. It would be good to get the judges involved somehow.

“We would actually be able to do a balance using Simon’s head – but I’m not sure how impressed he would be.”
