Britain’s Got Talent 2010: The Arrangement inspired by Dizzee Rascal
Britain’s Got Talent hopefuls The Arrangement have revealed that they were inspired by a Dizzee Rascal track which they played about with during a rehearsal in Cambridge.
Classical group ‘The Arrangement’, impressed Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan on Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent show with their mash up of modern dance tunes (video here).
Bassist Nathan Rasdall told Digital Spy: “It started as a bit of messing around, really.
“We were in a music class together at college in Cambridge when our pianist Tom came up with the act. He was the brains behind it and arranged it all.”
He added: “The first music came when Tom was playing some Dizzee Rascal on the piano.
“Jono was in the class as well, he knew the words and started singing along to it.
“Done in a classical way it was kind of funny, and we thought, ‘We could advance on this and do more pop songs with a classical twist’.”
Frontman Jono Miles added: “We were studying a lot of classical music and it began to wear a bit thin.
“It got a bit boring, and when Tom started playing Dizzee Rascal in the class on the piano it cheered everyone up.”
