Britain’s Got Talent 2011: Amanda Holden and Shrek cast perform on Tuesday’s semi final (VIDEO)

Amanda Holden got to leave the Britain’s Got Talent judging table for a few minutes tonight, as she and the cast of Shrek performed on the huge stage during the results show.

We were kind of shocked by the performance, having previously insisted that the actress had no real talent of her own we had to eat our words as she sang I’m A Believer and was actually quite tuneful.

In fact, we would go as far as to suggest she was probably more in key than Cheryl Cole during her last X Factor performance, though in fairness she didn’t have the energetic dance routine to contend with.

After the performance, Simon Cowell addressed the performers and grudgingly praised his fellow judge saying:

Can I start with the one on the right, you were actually a better singer than your wife.

But I have to say, this is really, really, really annoying, you were very good Amanda! And so were the whole cast, it was fantastic!

Amanda currently stars as Princess Fiona in the original West End production of Shrek the Musical. Based on the 2001 DreamWorks film and the book by William Steig, the show opened in London earlier this month. Joining her on the stage tonight were Nigel Lindsay as Shrek and Richard Blackwood as Donkey.
