Britain’s Got Talent 2011 Semi Finals: Mexican Mayhem force Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre into hiding!
Mexican Mayhem only made it through to the Britain’s Got Talent semi final because one third of their trio was crap.
59 year old Melissa and her dogs Twizzle and Tucker performed for the judges at an earlier audition, however only one of the long haired Chihuahuas wanted to do the routine. The other just stood about looking bored. For some reason this impressed the judges and the added them to their final 40 lineup.
Mel promised better things from both her canine pals this evening but when she took to the stage, thankfully not dressed in a poncho this time, once again her dogs let her down. They both refused to go through the hoops, one would climb the stairs and when it came to drinking tequila from a shot glass neither pup seemed interested. The most entertaining thing about Mexican Mayhem was Melissa’s splits at the end.
They came back, and Amanda told Melissa ‘it was absolutely rubbish,’ adding that she was ‘excruciatingly embarrassed.’
Cowell thought it was ‘the worst dog act’ he’d ever seen in his life, while The Hoff thought it was ‘hilarious’ and thoroughly enjoyed the splits.
Michael McIntyre summed the whole thing up by saying that it isn’t really a dog act, she is just a dog owner.
