Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Alesha Dixon ‘cried’ over Malakai Paul – loves Sam Kelly & Ryan O’Shaughnessy
Alesha Dixon has admitted that she cried when Malakai was eliminated from Britain’s Got Talent.
The former Strictly Come Dancing judge was a big fan of the nine year old singer and when he failed to make it past the semi final stage, to tonight’s grand finale, she wept as she watched him dissolve into tears on stage.
The brunette beauty told ITV.com that his elimination hit her ‘hard’, explaining:
“I cried over Malakai – it hit me hard. I’ve loved Malakai since his first audition. It was heart-breaking to see him go but he’ll do well. It’s the beginning rather than the end since millions of people will have seen him on TV and he did so well to get to the Semi-Finals.”
However, Dixon still has her favourites in the competition and strangely, given that she’s such an enthusiastic dancer, they seem to be singing acts.
The former Mis-Teeq star revealed that she enjoys listening to Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Sam Kelly, both of who won places in tonight’s final earlier this week.
She continued:
“I love Ryan. He’s got a similar style to Sam. They both gave such stripped down performances without any razzle-dazzle. They’re both so humble and modest; neither of them can believe they’ve made it this far.”
Dixon added:
“I’d like to see those two collaborate together in a studio. You can see backstage how brilliantly they get on – I think they’ll be friends for life.”
Britain’s Got Talent returns at 7.30pm tonight, for it’s grand finale. Ten of the acts performing have already been confirmed, while one wild card act will be revealed live on the show this evening.
