There seems to be no doubt that Alesha Dixon is making more money on Britain’s Got Talent than she was on Strictly Come Dancing. Simon Cowell admitted the fact himself at yesterday’s press conference. However, the former Mystique singer has insisted that she didn’t decide to leave, because of the extra cash.
Alesha announced that she was leaving the BBC dance show in January of this year and accepted a place alongside Simon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams on the ITV show.
When asked yesterday if she made the jump, because Cowell flashed his cash, the brunette beauty said:
“It’s not about the money. It’s about new challenges, doing different things. I don’t make decisions based on money. That’s the truth.”
“For me it was time for a change and for it’s a great change. I have no regrets.”
On how she feels things have changed for her, since she jumped channels and started work on the new reality TV show, Dixon admitted that she doesn’t miss Strictly and feels more comfortable in her new job.
“I don’t miss Strictly, I had an incredible time on Strictly. It’s a different vibe on this show. I feel like I’ve come into myself, I feel like more of myself on this show. This show is a lot of fun, I have laughed so much.”
Alesha will make her Britain’s Got Talent debut on Saturday night, when the 2012 series kicks off on ITV1.
Unreality TV saw the first episode yesterday afternoon, at a special screening in London and we can tell you, it is returning better than ever.
There is a different and more fresh approach to the audition coverage, but still the same old nutters and kooks, as well as a liberal mix of some seriously talented people thrown in for good measure.
Will you be tuning in? Are you looking forward to seeing Alesha and her fellow judges?
