Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Amanda Holden ‘euphoric’ to be heading to Edinburgh, Alesha Dixon ‘can’t wait’ to have her back!
Amanda Holden has admitted that she is feeling ‘euphoric’ about her big Britain’s Got Talent return today.
The 40 year old actress is meeting the other judges in Edinburgh this afternoon, when auditions commence in the Scottish city for the ITV show. She has only been missing from the panel for two weeks, which is pretty amazing when you consider that in that time she has given birth to a new daughter – Hollie Rose- and afterwards spent three days in intensive care where she was described by doctors as ‘critically ill.’
However, she was obviously worried about show boss Simon Cowell’s habit of sacking and replacing stars at whim and today, she revealed that she was feeling so excited about her comeback.
Holden said:
“I am euphoric to be heading back to my place at the judges’ desk! To be honest after the last couple of weeks I’m euphoric to be anywhere!”
Alesha Dixon is almost as excited as Amanda, and it seems that she hasn’t been enjoying spending time with Holden’s replacement – Carmen Electra – who stepped in as a fourth judge at the London auditions. Dixon took to Twitter last night to declare:
I cannot wait for @Amanda_Holden to come back tomorrow! I’ve really missed her
xXx
It was claimed recently that Amanda was being rushed back to the show and even offered to step in for London’s trouts earlier in the week, after the audience reacted badly to Carmen. ITV bosses were said to be furious that Cowell went over their head to bring in the American star and were desperate for Amanda to return.
It is thought that Holden will bring her newborn baby with her to today’s auditions.
