The nation fell in love with pooch Pudsey when he and owner Ashleigh Butler performed on Britain’s Got Talent this year, and of course, won the contest…

And ever since, Pudsey has been hot property, with people around the globe fascinated by him and eager to see yet more of his antics, and to that end, Ashleigh and Pudsey appeared on Jay Leno’s NBC talk show, The Tonight Show, this week, racking up massive viewer ratings for the show.

We have a clip for you of Ashleigh and Pudsey on the show after the jump, but first, of appearing on Jay’s show alongside Hollywood superstar Morgan Freeman, Ashleigh told the Sun, “Morgan Freeman actually asked, ‘Do you think he knows he’s famous?’”

Ashleigh continued, “In the advert break we had a bit of a chat. He was lovely — I think he was impressed…

“He was asking me how I taught Pudsey. I said I used food, and he said, ‘You wouldn’t get me to do that for just a bit of food’.

“Pudsey loves Hollywood. He likes the attention, the bigger the crowd, the more he performs. He’s such a show-off. Nothing fazes him.

“The Britain’s Got Talent final was only eight weeks ago but it seems like eight months. We’ve done so much. It’s been like a whirlwind.”

The Sun also revealed that today, the famous canine is meeting with Disney chiefs as he takes his first steps towards a potential movie career in Hollywood.

Of that, Ashleigh said, “I think Pudsey would be perfect for movies. Simon Cowell has always wanted a dog to win an Oscar.”

Well, who doesn’t?

Finally, when asked if fame has changed Pudsey, Ashleigh said, “Fame hasn’t changed him, he’s exactly the same. He just eats better food now.”
