Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Latvian Gatis Kandis he’s so not funny…..he’s kind of funny! (VIDEO)
It’s the final audition show of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent series, so we had to expect a few strange and silly acts and on tonight’s episode, Gatis Kandis totally fits the bill.
The Latvian stand-up comedian – who now lives in London, near Sainsburys don’t you know – is seen taking to the stage on this evening’s installment and tells a whole array of jokes that are so bad, they should be awful, but actually his straight and strange delivery makes them kind of hilarious.
After his stand up routine about toilets, muscles and ending on the joke ‘Are you well? No you’re not a well, you’re a person!’, Simon Cowell admits that he was hooked:
The music mogul chuckles:
“What is going on here!? You are the funniest funniest comedian I have ever heard in my life, I mean absolute rubbish but it actually really, really made me laugh”
Seasoned comedian and comic writer David Walliams was also impressed and admits:
“It was so bad that it was actually brilliant”
Simon offered the 31 year old performer another word of advice, insisting:
“You mustn’t change, seriously you mustn’t change!”
David joked:
“Not even the jumper!”
Unsurprisingly, all of the judges (except Alesha) gave Gatis a yes and he sailed through to the next round. Also, as it’s the last of the series tryouts, later tonight you will find out if he’s gone even further and onto the live shows.
