Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Michael Fish (Fish on Percussion) splits the panel with ‘RESPECT’ (video)

Michael Fish AKA Fish on Percussion was only featured on Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent so was probably one of the acts that was most fresh in our minds when he took to the stage this evening.

The 24 year old percussionist previously impressed the judges with his club act when he tried out for the ITV show, with Alesha Dixon loving his ‘cool’ vibe and David Walliams loving his hair!

Tonight, the hopeful made his live TV debut on the second semi final of the series and performed to a modernized version of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect.’

Wearing huge sunglasses and in the brightest DJ box we have ever seen, Michael seemed totally engrossed in his performance and we loved the dancers and the whole production of the act. However Amanda Holden wasn’t a fan and buzzed quite early in the song.

JUDGES COMMENTS:

ALESHA DIXON: I love you Fish and I love the music and I have to be honest, you got a little bit lost up there.

AMANDA HOLDEN: I buzzed because it was a bit too Ibiza for me, if I had a few glow sticks it might have worked. If you stripped it back and it was just you, it could have been boring.

SIMON COWELL: I couldn’t disagree with Amanda more. Dance music is becoming really big and your act is perfectly timed. I really liked it and I really liked you. You are a real showman.

DAVID WALLIAMS: I am going to agree with Simon. Fish, I thought that went swimmingly. I think maybe it is more suited to a nightclub or a festival than the Royal Variety show but that doesn’t mean it’s not great!

Did you enjoy the performance tonight? Do you think Michael Fish did enough to make the grand final? Leave your comments below…
