Britain’s Got Talent continued tonight for the second of it’s semi finals and once again, nine acts performed in the hope of winning only two spots in Saturday’s final show.

Last night Ashleigh and Pudsey and Only Boys Aloud sailed through to the next round, leaving The Mend gutted as they were eliminated at the last hurdle. Tonight, before Ant and Dec announced the results, we were expecting Charlotte and Jonathan, Four Corners and Kai and Natalia to end up as the top three acts of the evening.

However, when the time came for the hosts to announce the top three, we found out that we had got it slightly wrong as joining Kai and Natalia and Jonathan and Charlotte, was Paige Turley and not the talented dance troupe.

It was then revealed that the overall winners of the night were Jonathan and Charlotte, meaning that Paige and the dance duo would have to face the judges and compete for just one place on Saturday’s show.

Making their decision, David picked the act he thought had the ‘most potential’ and opted to save Paige. Alesha found the decision easy and voted to save Kai and Natalia. Amanda Holden deliberated and revealed that she agreed with Alesha and saved the dance act, leaving Simon Cowell with the deciding vote.

The music mogul ‘liked both’ acts but revealed that he was backing Kai and Natalia also. On hearing the news Paige said:

‘It’s been an amazing experience and I’m delighted I got this far.’

Kai added:

‘It feels amazing, we really did not expect that. We are completely speechless.’
