Susan Boyle started her journey to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, so it was nice to see her back on the stage which launched her career this evening.
The Scottish singer finished in second place on the ITV series back in 2009, just behind dance troupe Diveristy (who also performed on this evening’s finale) and went on to top album and singles charts all over the world.
Her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream remains the UK’s best-selling debut album of all time, beating previous record holder, Spirit by X Factor star Leona Lewis.
This evening SuBo took on Madonna’s ‘You’ll See’ for the live episode and belted out her version as the votes were being counted and the winner of the series decided.
She stood on what looked like a bridge in the centre of the stage and the light show, which surrounded her was really quite impressive…though a little distracting.
Susan’s vocals were as strong as ever, though she did appear to be a little nervous but that’s to be expected, after all it’s been a while since she’s been on the BGT stage.
She looked amazing too, in her floor length black gown, though we would have liked to hear what she thought of tonight’s acts but Ant and Dec didn’t interview her as they did Diversity’s Ashley Banjo.

Susan Boyle is awesome. That song is emotionally loaded for her as that is what she sang to herself after every talent show she did not win. Think you saw emotion-not nervousness
Thank you Madonna for a great song.

God, what a singer! Susan Boyle is just terrific. There is no pop singer around, who can bring the emotion to a song that Subo can. And her power….WOW!! Great performance.
Susan Boyle is awesome, loved the song You’ll See. That appearance had to be emotional for her, but she is courageous and determined. She’s a winner on so many levels. Goooooo SuBo.

Beautiful. Susan Boyle rocks.
What a stunning performance from Susan Boyle. This lady is by far the best singer on the music scene today – she ‘understands’ every word and nuance of a song, her voice is strong and resonant. She is the most successful talent show winner and it’s difficult to imagine anyone else matching her undiscovered talent with such an endearing personality.
Well done, Lady, keep going on, keep going strong.
Beyond awesome. There is no other singer on the scene today thatn can compare. Thank you Susan.
