Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Wildcard revealed and Diversity perform!
In one of the biggest live entertainment events of the year, Britain’s Got Talent reaches its exciting climax this evening, as eleven acts compete to be crowned the winner of the 2012 series.
Hosts Ant & Dec will be presiding over the event, with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams donning their best outfits to take their seats behind the desk.
From what started with over 50,000 applicants, the pool has now been narrowed down to the final ten and the judges have travelled over 1,200 miles to find a star.
Tonight, the finalists perform for the last time and the winner will be decided by the public.
The ‘wildcard’ act who joins the ten finalists will be announced at the beginning of Saturday night’s show. The lucky act picked by the Judges from the 35 semi-finalists who didn’t make it through will join Ashleigh & Pudsey; Only Boys Aloud; Jonathan & Charlotte; Kai & Natalia; Loveable Rogues; Molly Rainford; Sam Kelly; Nu Sxool; Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Aquabatique to perform for the final time.
2009 winners Diversity will perform during the show and there promises to be a surprise or two along the way!
This year, the winner of Britain’s Got Talent not only has the opportunity to perform at the 2012 Royal Variety Performance, they will also receive a life changing £500,000 – £250,000 of which will come from Simon Cowell’s own pocket.
Who would you like to see performing as the wildcard act? It was recently revealed that The Mend are the bookies favourite to make it through. Leave your comments below.

Of those who were in the semi-finals, I would pick Face Team.
Overall, others I loved include James Ingham and Ed Gleave. Now that I know who they are, I understand why they didn’t continue on, but if they were continuing on, I would pick them. They were hilarious and very good, although over here in the US I had to do a bit of research to understand all the in-jokes.
My next favorite person who got cut was Chelsea Redfern, and after that, it would be Marea Smithson.
I Hope Be Minor or Paige Turley To Be The Wildcard
The Mend all they way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The wild card should go to The Mend, they are pure raw talent and should go on and win the final!!!
The Mend!
I don’t know her name but the sixteen year old singer who went out the other night should have gone through, not the rubbish acts that won!
Whatever happened to James and Ed? They were great & all the judges voted yes for them to move on to the semi-finals. Yet I didn’t see them in any of the semi-finals. Did they drop out? What a shame – they were brilliant – hilariously funny & clever.
If picking from the 5 losers, which they should, then it has to be Billy George the only act who offers both talent and variety. Every poll I have seen has him at over 50% and everybody I know wants him.
The last thing the final of a variety show needs is yet another singer or dancer.
Wildcard is the showbears sorry to disappoint you all its been confirmed they are friends of mine
Liar!
The mend! <3
No,the wildcard shouldn’t be the Mend. There’s far too many singers already. It should be Twist and Pulse dance company. TAPDC are the best dance troupe they have had on this series and definitely deserve the wildcard.
agreed! they were one of alesha’s favourites!!!
The magicians should be the wild card they were good there are far too many singers, dancers etc
Should be four corners..they were awesoem…best dance act and a bit different!
The Mend, deffo. There are a lot of singers but they all sing different genres. Imo, the mend are way better than only boys aloud, any day.
james and ed were brilliant, how they were not ahead of that other trash acts we saw in the semis i really dont know ? its beyond me a laugh a minute
james ingham and ed gleave were wonderful and yet i haven’t even seen them again since the auditions and they call this a variety show! huh!
definitely the MEND for the wildcard, pure class. my prediction though for 1,2,3 is
1. ryan o`shaughnessy
2. loveable rogues
3. ashleigh & pudsey.
You’re seriously leaving out Jonathan and Charlotte in your top three?!?!?!?!
james & ed didn`t get through because basically they were rubbish. this show is designed to reveal pure talent, hence the title of the show, not a guy dressed as a doll and a guy pretending to be a vent. the pize is 1/2 million pounds and that act wouldn`t earn that sort of money in 10 years.
HOPE MURPHY to get the wild card!
MANCGAL’s earlier comment on the wildcard is looking stupider than ever.
