Britain’s Got Talent 2013: Asanda Jezile could be off to Hollywood as Disney want her for their movies!
It’s been revealed today that Britain’s Got Talent singer Asanda Jezile may soon be heading to Hollywood after “catching the eye of Disney bosses!”
She was apparently personally invited to audition in London earlier this week for Disney’s new movie Into the Woods in the role of Little Red Riding Hood.
The Sun’s TV Biz reports that she was delighted to receive later a call asking her back for a second try out.
Apparently, the film’s director Rob Marshall – who worked on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides – saw Asanda’s performances on BGT and immediately got in touch, hoping that she would be interested in a part in the movie, which will also star Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Jake Gyllenhaal.
A source said, “Asanda has definite star quality and Rob spotted that straight away. He thinks she might be exactly what they are looking for.
“If she manages to get the part it will be a huge break for her.”
Asanda’s powerhouse voice wowed the judges and the audience, and after one of her BGT performances, show boss Simon Cowell said, “I’ve never seen someone with such a great stage presence for an 11-year-old.
“I mean seriously, seriously good. And you have the best smile I have ever seen.”
His fellow judge Alesha Dixon remarked, “When you are on the money, your voice is incredible.
“I can hear you on a record already and you’re 11 years old. You were like a little diamond.”
Of her possible role in the new Disney film, Asanda’s manager Jonathan Shalit said, “Aside from being a great singer, Asanda has all the makings of a great acting star.”
