Britain’s Got Talent 2013: Attraction bring the house down & make Simon Cowell cry at semi final
Attraction had more to prove tonight than any other act on Britain’s Got Talent.
The Hungarian dancers have been the bookies’ favourite to win the ITV series ever since their first audition and when they made Amanda Holden cry with their sad and moving routine, they seemed to win a place in the public’s heart.
Tonight, the troupe promised new scenes and a very ‘special’ performance for the semi final, and revealed that they were desperate to make next weekend’s grand finale.
Attraction tweeted their fans today saying:
“Our team have a lot planned for tomorrows live show!
Last minute rehearsals tomorrow! Wish the team luck! @AttractionBLT x”
One of their performers revealed:
“Tonight we are telling a story. It’s my story and it’s a very emotional story and I dedicate it to my mum.”
The routine started with a mother and a baby and their life together throughout the boy’s early and formative years. The scenes took in Africa, India, showed the Taj Mahal and and elephant and all just with lights and bodies. It was really very amazing.
The tears were definitely flowing at the end, when the son nursed his mother as she died and the routine ended with his now pregnant wife comforting him with the sound of his new baby’s heartbeat.
The judges said:
David Walliams: It is quite simply one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen. Absolutely stunning.
Alesha Dixon: Game over. That was incredible.
Amanda Holden: It’s just remarkable how something so simple and beautiful can strike at your heart within seconds. Simon was crying, you have turned us into a complete mess.
Simon Cowell: Guys I am seriously blown away by that. I know the show is Britain’s Got Talent but I am honoured that you chose the show to show your talent. I genuinely feel privileged that we just seen one of the most amazing things we have ever seen on this show.
