Wednesday night saw the special Comic Relief performance of Book of Mormon, written by the creators of South Park.
The show was attended by many Comic Relief regulars including Rob Brydon, Simon Pegg, James Cordon, Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter.
Also present were newly weds Simon Cowell and David Walliams, flanked by the ladies in their lives pregnant supermodel Lara Stone and Sinitta.
Simon Cowell appeared tired and a bit grumpy towards the press, despite gamely sporting a red nose for the assembled photographers.
During the show it was a different story, though. According to so called “Cowell spotters” the music mogul hugged David several times, and after the show excitedly asked the comic for his opinion of the show.
The Daily Mail reveals today that Simon still raves so much about his mother’s roast potatoes that even David Walliams, who is a fellow judge on Britain’s Got Talent, is now following her recipe.
‘No one can make roast potatoes like my mum Julie,’ Simon insists.
David sneaked away from the party early, needing to be up early in the morning to join Nick Grimshaw at his Comic Relief Radio 1 special on Thursday and rehearse with Alan Carr all day.
A shame really, we’d have loved to hear more about David and Simon getting all chummy.
Yesterday David was tweeting a lot of fun pictures of tonight’s Comic Relief sketches and it look like he’ll be gettin intimate with Hugh Grant – be jealous Simon!!
