Britain’s Got Talent 2013: Johnson brothers Richard & Adam have been signed by Sony and will release The Impossible Dream this month!
It’s been revealed today that Britain’s Got Talent stars Richard and Adam Johnson have signed up to prestigious record label Sony, and are due release their rendition of The Impossible Dream on July 29!
As fans of BGT will know, Richard and Adam finished in third place in this year’s contest, however, the brothers felt their chances of winning were scuppered when deranged Natalie Holt – who was rejected by the show’s judges when she tried out as part of string quartet Raven – ran on-stage and pelted Simon Cowell with eggs during Richard and Adam’s live performance.
However, the brothers carried on performing despite the drama, and were praised by the judges and fans for doing so.
But back to the announcement that they’ve signed up to Sony, and in a statement, the brothers said, “We are so ecstatic to be signed with Sony Music.
“We absolutely love singing and want to bring classical music to all ages through our voices and debut album.”
STV report that their manager, Jonathan Shalit, added, “When I first saw Richard and Adam audition on BGT with their wonderful tenor and baritone voices I was beyond excited.
“The beauty of their harmonies is quite extraordinary and gave me flashbacks to the Righteous Brothers – who of course were not actually brothers, which Richard & Adam are.”
As mentioned above, The Impossible Dream will be released through Sony on July 29, but for now, here’s a look at the lads singing the track on BGT…
