Britain’s Got Talent temporarily moved outside yesterday, as a diving team braved the cold in Cardiff and made their best attempt to wow judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

The diving team called La Quebrada High Diving Productions consists of 8 divers including Peter Waterfield who was in Team GB and was Tom Daley’s synchronised dancing partner in 2012. Blake Aldridge, who has previously dived alongside Tom, is also part of the team.

The act involved a diving sequence, culminating in a dramatic stunt whereby one of the team climbed a high tower, set himself on fire and leapt into a water tank.

As the act took place the BGT judges were clearly freezing cold. Alesha reassured the audience, “I’m wearing shorts (under her outfit) I’m prepared”.

A source said, “the divers were so brave. It was freezing cold but they never let it get to them. The crowd were buzzing with excitement.”

Other acts that have shone and made it past the judges in Cardiff this year include Bethan Horton and Andrew Leigh Evans.
