After a whole series of AWFUL acts on the Britain’s Got Talent stage, the judges were delighted to see Asanda Jezile perform in the London Palladium earlier this year.
The 11 year old school girl from London turned up to the tryouts for David Walliams, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon and admitted:
“I’m a little bit of a diva.”
I like to listen to Beyonce and Rihanna, they are my inspiration. Beyonce, when she’s on stage she brings Sasha Fierce.”
“Music is everything to me, when I’m singing I just feel magic. If I got the chance to sing in front of the Queen, maybe I could teach her how to liberate her inner diva and she could teach me a posh accent.”
Jezile then took to the stage and delivered a ridiculously accomplished version of Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds.’
For such a young singer she had remarkable stage presence and some great dance moves and she was more confident than most performers twice her age.
The panel just loved Asanda’s performance and Alesha seemed surprised by the level of professionalism she showed. She claimed that Jezile is already ready to make a record and confessed that she was ‘lost for words’ after hearing her sing.
Amanda was just as positive and revealed that she had laughed the whole way through the song because she was so shocked by the act.
Simon revealed that he has never watched any young performer with so much ‘stage presence’ and added:
“You have the best smile I have ever seen.”
David was just as gushing and said:
“It was phenomenal. I’m going to say yes.”
Unsurprisingly, Jezile got four yeses and won an easy place in the next round. Do you think she’s good enough for the live shows? Leave your comments below…..
