As we reported recently, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden made a number of revelations about her life in her autobiography, No Holding Back…
And among them were details about what she described as her “brief fling” with Men Behaving Badly star, Neil Morrissey, who it would appear was not a happy bunny that she did so.
The Daily Star reports, “In a TV interview for Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Neil rapped her for opening old wounds by talking about the scandal.”
He’s apparently waiting for an apology from Amanda for making details about their affair public knowledge, but it would appear that’s not going to be forthcoming in any kind of a hurry.
But when asked if he’d read Amanda’s book, Neil snapped, “I am not interested in autobiographies that just talk about celebs.
“I don’t want to read about me in someone’s autobiography.”
He went on to say that he doesn’t feel guilty over the fling with Amanda, given that he says her marriage to comedian Les Dennis was already over by the time he and Amanda embarked on their romance.
He said, “Amanda was having problems with her relationship anyway…
“The ring was still on the finger but the marriage was not really there. That was my understanding.
“We had a lovely time when we had that brief fling.”
When then asked if he feels he should apologise to Dennis over the fling, he said, “No. I don’t know what there is to apologise for.
“I don’t think we could have avoided starting the affair but we could have dealt with it differently.”
And finally, offering words of advice to other people in the showbiz world, Neil quipped, “Don’t f*** a game show host’s wife.”
As fans of Celebrity Big Brother may recall, Les broke down while in the house in 2002 as he discussed the breakdown of his marriage to Amanda.
At the time, Sky News reported, “Fears are growing for the sanity of Celebrity Big Brother housemate Les Dennis amid reports he is cracking up.
“His former housemate Anne Diamond said he is on the verge of breaking down on the show.”
Here’s a reminder of his time on CBB…
