Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell had to miss today’s BGT auditions in Manchester due to a mystery illness!
Of his missing the tryouts at the city’s Lowry Theatre this morning, a spokesman for Simon said, “Simon isn’t here for the start of today’s auditions as he’s a bit poorly.
“But he’ll be joining us later today.”
However, late this afternoon, there was still no sign of the music mogul, and his fellow judge David Walliams tweeted, “Still no sign of my Simon…”
Earlier in the day, Metro report that David told his Twitter followers, “Apparently we are starting BGT auditions without my Simon today. He isn’t well.
“I wish I could be there to nurse him or give him a bed-bath.”
He added, “I wasn’t feeling well yesterday, I must have given my Simon something.
“He told me not to come close, but I couldn’t help myself…”
Metro online adds, “Walliams, 41, quickly jumped in Cowell’s propped up head judge’s chair, declaring: ‘I feel powerful’.
“Fellow judge Amanda Holden asked him: ‘Do you feel comfortable?’”
Apparently he did as he reportedly replied, “Of course I do, I’ve got an extra four inches!” which is presumably a quip about Simon’s ‘booster’ seat!
David added, “It’s ace when he isn’t here. We can have our say and relax and drink lots of champagne at his expense.”
Meanwhile, host Ant McPartlin told the audience, “We’ve got a bit of news for you. I know we’ve got four chairs and four Xs but unfortunately we’ve lost one of our judges.
“Simon isn’t going to be here for the beginning of the session. He’s a bit poorly but he will be here at some stage.”
Well, tick tock…
