Britain’s Got Talent: Alesha Dixon says she’s a big fan of Danny O’Donoghue!
BGT judge Alesha Dixon has today revealed that she’s a big fan of Danny O’Donoghue, who is of course a coach on BGT rival show, The Voice as well being a singer with The Script.
While recording an interview with Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon for their show, Capital Breakfast, Alesha confessed that she’s a fan of Danny’s but wouldn’t commit when asked if she was going to watch The Voice when it launches tomorrow night.
Danny meanwhile, who was also being interviewed, joked that his biggest worry about The Voice is that he might swear during the live shows.
Adding that he has “a limited vocabulary”, he continued, “I tend to curse a lot, so God forgive me when we get to the live shows.”
And inevitably, talk soon turned to the fact that BGT’s 2012 launch and The Voice UK’s debut were airing tomorrow night, with a twenty-minute overlap…
However, it seems neither Danny nor Alesha were going to be drawn into any bitchiness about that, and Alesha gracefully wished Danny “good luck” for the show’s BBC premiere.
But Simon Cowell was not quite so willing to be gracious to the show, and yesterday, during a Q&A about BGT, when asked if he intended to watch The Voice, he said “probably for about five minutes.”
However, he’s not the only one issuing negative statements as Will.i.am recently claimed that he’d never watched The X Factor, despite the fact that his BFF Cheryl Cole of course used to be judge.
