Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden wowed viewers on Saturday night’s final show, when she emerged onstage sporting a brand new sleek bob.

The ITV judge admits that she had planned the dramatic haircut for a while, but almost chickened out just before her hairdresser made his first cut.

She told the Daily Mail : “I was not scared! I has planned it for a week and my hairdresser Ben Cooke came down on the train to London especially because he’s been with Leona Lewis.

“After all that, I nearly chickened out. But Ben just came up to me and took a big chunk of my hair and cut it off before I could object. My dressing room was covered in hair.

“I’s still in a bit of shock. I know it looks nice now, but I’m just worried about waking up in the morning with no make-up on and that first glimpse in the mirror.”

Holden’s hair stylist Cooke told InStyle magazine: “Amanda was really excited to do something different with her hair and the new look really shows off her sassy side.

“The new style looks too twee if it’s very smooth and finished perfectly, so the trick is to rough it up as if you’ve been up to mischief.”
