Britain’s Got Talent: Amanda Holden “I was moments from death!”

Amanda Holden has admitted just how scared her family were and how close she came to death, when delivering her new baby Hollie Rose last month.

The 41 year old star was rushed to hospital at the end of January, in labour with her second child but during the birth she lost litres of blood and revealed to The Sun that her heart stopped for 40 seconds and her husband was unsure if the doctors would be able to revive her.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge confessed:

“I was moments from death.”

“As much blood as they were putting into me was going out. It just would not clot.

“I lost about 13 to 15 litres of it all in all. For seven minutes Chris didn’t know if I was alive or dead.

“They literally ran out of my blood group in London. They had them on mopeds coming from everywhere with it.”

When Amanda’s baby was born, her spokespeople announced that the star was in a critical condition and she remained in intensive care for three days.

She was released from hospital a week later and only took another week at home to rest, before returning to her duties alongside Simon Cowell on Britain’s Got Talent.

However, it has since been claimed that Holden will take a break from her career after BGT ends and plans to spend months at home with her family, with no work lined up.

The new mum stunned hopefuls when she returned to the ITV show last week and looked amazingly slim in her fitted coral dress. You can check out the pictures here.
