Britain’s Got Talent: Ashleigh and Pudsey to release a single?
Simon Cowell is king of the tacky novelty singles and it seems he is keen to retain his crown and is planning to start work on a record with his newest star….Pudsey the dog!
The music mogul fell for the pup when he and his teenage trainer Ashleigh Butler won Britain’s Got Talent earlier this month.
As well as a possible book deal, ad work and film roles, Cowell is said to have lined up a record deal for the canine star too and wants to release a single featuring the talented pooch.
A source told The Mirror that Simon has already spoken to songwriters about penning a funny track that Pudsey can bark along with and that work will commence on it within the new few weeks.
One said: “Simon reckons the sky is the limit for Pudsey. He has captured the hearts of the viewers with his skills and his lovable nature.
“There have been many animals on CDs over the years from hamsters to monkeys to frogs. This could score big. Simon’s experience and knowledge of this market are second to none.
“A clever pop video coupled with a catchy tune could easily be a global hit.”
The source added: “Simon would find it very amusing to go to the Brits with Pudsey on his arm as a nominee for Best Single.”
Simon knows what he’s doing, after all he’s the man behind the hit singles from the Teletubbies, Bob The Builder, Robson and Jerome, WWE, Zig and Zag and The Power Rangers.
