Britain’s Got Talent Bosses Deny Manipulation
I think everyone will have noticed that there is a definite pattern in this years Britain’s Got Talent competition. As we mentioned in a previous post, for the last four nights running the last act of the night tends to be the judges favourite and each time has been the first act through to the final.
Many people have claimed that producers are doing this on purpose to manipulate the public into voting for the acts that they want to see in the final. Certainly, when the voting lines open, not only is the last act fresh in your mind, but they are still having praise heaped on them by the panel of judges. Take into consideration that the lines are only open for ten minutes, and it’s not surprising that the final act wins each night.
However, BGT bosses have denied claims of manipulation and a spokeswoman for the show insisted that the pattern is “nothing more than a coincidence”.
She told The Daily Star: “The voting is all fair and balanced. It is worth pointing out that acts which have appeared early on in the show have been coming second and third in the public voting.”
Do you believe her? I don’t!!!
