Britain’s Got Talent: David Walliams to present “500 Words” winner – announces guest part in kids sketch show and trip to Kenya

Never a dull moment in the world of David Walliams. As if working on two books, two scripts and the adaptation of Mr Stink wasn’t enough we were surprised to see this tweet from our favourite camp comic today. He wrote:

“I just filmed a sketch for the new BBC comedy series ‘Fit’. I was in my Speedos again, greased up. Not a pretty sight…”

He did what now? We never heard of this!! Apparently neither did Alan Carr who Tweeted back:

“send me a twitpic – I feel dead horny!!!!”

Naturally we did some digging and it seems this is a CBBC TV sketch show that stars Dan Wright, who Tweeted:

“Just done a sketch for new TV show with David Walliams. Lovely chap.”

Script supervisor Angharad Parry said:

“A comedy sketch with david walliams this merry morn. I’m also fashioning a zit which I’ve layered with toothpaste & makeup for its demise. David walliams is all greased up and on set in his swimmers! Tony Paulway is on his way with a bald cap! Bald cap!”

Interesting.

And it seems that David is knee deep into wonderful kids stuff this week.

This Thursday and Friday he will be making appearances at the Hay Festival in his capacity of Children’s Author as part of the Hay Fever young persons programme and 500 Words competition head judge. On Friday Morning he will reveal the winner of the competition live on Chris Evan’s radio show. The winner has been selected from 74,000 entries to BBC Radio 2 writing competition

Here is a nice video of the judging process:

To top it all off David also revealed a matter very close to his heart this week, tweeting:

“I am going back to Kenya with Sport Relief to see Philip again soon. I can’t wait to see him.”

Bless!

Last night he bumped into the Primrose Hill girls, who said: “guess who we bumped into last night & said we looked like we should be in a girlband!”
