Britain’s Got Talent: David Walliams would buy ‘Lovesick’ Loveable Rogues’ records! (VIDEO)
The Loveable Rogues certainly shone on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show, when they impressed the judges not just with their musical talent but with their individuality and fun vibe.
Eddie Brett, Sonny Jay and Té Eugene all showed up to try out for the ITV show earlier this year and explained that they met at a performing arts college and have been performing as a band for the last eighteen months.
Eddie revealed that he put the group together and told Simon Cowell that while they have been gigging ‘all the time’ they are still pretty ‘small time’ and wanted to play on a larger stage for once.
After a bit of stage shuffling, the trio then performed a track penned by Brett titled ‘Lovesick’ and Eugene took the lead vocals to start, while accompanied by Jay on the ukulele and Eddie on the guitar. The audience loved it and cheered throughout and we have to confess, it was a catchy tune and could certainly be a big chart hit.
JUDGES COMMENTS:
Alesha: I liked you from the minute you walked onto the stage, because your personalities are just shining in abundance. You look like you’re having fun. I love the fact that you’re just British, I think the three of you blend brilliantly together, you are my favourite act so far.
David: I agree with Alesha about your personalities. You made me think of Madness or The Kinks, it’s a great London band. If you brought out an album tomorrow I would buy it.
Simon: Exactly what David said, I was thinking. You were like Madness and I liked the fact that you’ve got the ukulele . Everything seems really well balanced on this group and you’re very confident and you look good. I like that.
Unsurprisingly, The Loveable Rogues got three yeses and won a place in the next round. Did you enjoy their performance tonight? Leave your comments below….
