Britains Got Talent: Escala and Nemesis Through To Final!!

Before I start talking about who got through tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi finals, can I please mention how cheesy and ridiculous it was of the BGT producers to plaster a huge picture of Madonna’s children across the screen as she was singing The Greatest Love Of All.

I know that the British public are easy to manipulate, but this really was one step too far. The woman is not a great singer. She is a good singer who only ended up in the final because of her sob story. It is a sad story, there is no doubting that, and I would love for Madonna to earn enough money to bring her children to live with her in the UK. But this show is called Britain’s Got Talent, not Britain’s Got A HEART! I refuse to vote for someone just because some telly bigwig thinks he can make me cry by putting pictures of cute kids on a huge screen!

Anyway, they didn’t let Madonna go last so she didn’t get through to the finals thankfully. Not surprisingly the first act through to the final were the classical quartet Escala, who in my opinion deserve to win the whole series! The public vote left the Judges to choose between Craig Harper and Nemesis. Simon had to cast the deciding vote for the last place in the final, after each act received one vote each and he choose to put Nemesis through.

So the final lineup for the Britain’s Got Talent final tomorrow night will be:

-Kate & Gin
-Signature
-Andrew Johnston
-Cheeky Monkeys
-George Sampson
-Strike
-Nemesis
-Escala

I am gutted that Craig Harper didn’t get through. In my opinion he is perfect for the show. He is funny, does his songs well, very witty, involves audience and has worked very hard. Simon Cowell really makes me laugh, he is so into the public it’s ntrue. For instance, when Madonna stressed her “sob story” he claimed she should be put through for her Talent as opposed to the “sad story”. This is Britain’s got Talent, not Britains got saddest stories I believe his words were. Then, at the end, when he had the deciding vote between Nemesis and Craig Harper, he said “they deserve to go through as the youth has such bad press”. What has that gotta do with their talent then?

I was also absolutely gutted Craig Harper didnt get through…..so much so ..I cried. I thought his act was great and it was obvious he has worked extremely hard. I feel so bad for him as he was just standing there hoping Simon would put him through…I dont think Nemesis should have went to the final…this whole thing about youth having bad press….they put plenty of acts to the final to represent such a statement. Craig Harper would have added variety to the show. Nemesis have plenty of opportunities to do something else…they are not an act for the Royal family. There is too many dance acts through now.
Craig was funny..sang really well and was entertaining. I really hope something good comes out of it for him. He deserves it.
