Britain’s Got Talent: Father & Son Wow As ‘Stavros Flatley’

Unreality TV was granted a sneak peek at this weeks launch episode of Britain’s Got Talent and the show moved us to laughter and tears in equal measures.
One of the most entertaining acts of the night had to be father and son act ‘Stavros Flatley.’ The act consists of Demetrios Demetriou and his son Lagi.
The pair arrive on stage like two cheeky chappies and tell the judges that they are going to perform some authentic greek dancing as their audition piece. We expected to see some fiery plate smashing action, what we actually got was a chubby pair engaging in a strange Irish type jig routine which was nothing short of hilarious. There were man boobs a plenty and corny moves galore, but when Simon told the pair that they were one of his favourite dance acts ever, you knew they’d done well.
See the rest of the show on Saturday 11th April 7:45pm – ITV1

STAVROS FLATLEY is most definitely the best act this year. If you think they are funny the first time you se them, just wait till you see them the second time.
John Gordon
Wow! What a really funny act? I was born in 1939 and it’s the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. John Gordon has got it right with his comment. It is funnier the second time of watching, I have watched it at least a dozen times now and it just gets better.

not funny at all. They think they are and much of the public. My humour is more descerning that that. Maybe somebody else could have made it funny but they were not.
Come on- in this day and age we need light hearted humour. They were so funny and a great comedy act. Father and Son working together to spread laughter. I thought they were great!!!
I’m pretty discerning too. Not much on the TV make me laugh out loud. This was hilarious. I ended up switching on my computer and watching it on the net another 4 or 5 times. In fact, I think I’ll go and watch it again.
Excellent.

I haven’t belly laughed so much in years until I saw this brilliant dad and son act, AND along with “flawless” and “Susuan Boyle”, what a show!!! Thank you Britain’s got talent for a brilliant show. Hard acts to follow
Stavros Flatley was absolutely hilarious! Good for the two Greeks for bringing some humor and lightheartedness to the show! Comedic Genius!
Nadia, in addition to having no sense of humour, you also can’t spell.
I’m disappointed that I can’t get the show here in San Diego, CA, USA….guess I’ll just have to wait for the YouTube postings!!! I think it was amazing to see a father urge his son to throw caution to the wind for the entertainment of others. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! I watch it every night…..and to Susan Boyle, well, I think she saved some lives that night. I forwarded it to a friend who was very down in recent weeks and Susan made a tremendous impact to brighten her spirit.
Oops, discerning/ Let’s just accept that people are amused by different things. i am just giving my opinion. We could be watching something else, I could laugh and someone else would not. Sometimes something that is so obviously staged in an attempt to be funny is not. Other forms of comedy appeal to me more.
Sorry lads, didn’t think funny at all
i have never ever laughed and cried so much before, cant wait to see their next performance.
