Iona started contortionism when she was nine years old. She saw a circus performer do it on stage and wanted to copy her, so she joined a local group and started to practice. After practising at home she gradually got better and better and was able to push herself further with slightly more daring tricks. She decided to join a circus in Mongolia but she wasn’t well paid so at 17 she decided to move to England to study Law and give contortionism a go over here. She now performs in London for corporate and private functions but is looking to take her act into the big league and travel the world.
