Britain’s Got Talent: Is Jamie Pugh A Fake?

So rumours are abounding that we have been played yet again by a person on a reality TV show.
Jamie Pugh appeared on last week’s Britain’s Got Talent and claimed to have never sang in front of an audience before. He also claimed to be suffering from severe stage fright.
However The Sun reports today that Jamie has performed in London’s Wet End before and made a very good job of it.
A member of the audience at Jamie’s show in 2006 said: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw him on Britain’s Got Talent saying he had never performed in front of an audience before.
“I remember his performance going down really well — and he didn’t look like he was suffering from stage fright then.”
Jamie has defended himself saying that he didn’t perform at the theatre alone, he said:
“I have previously performed as part of a group but I never sang alone. It didn’t go that well.”
So what’s your feelings on this latest BGT story. Have we been misled by Cowell and Co again or was this an innocent omission on the part of Mr Pugh? Leave your comments below.

I don’t think he is that good an actor that he could have put them nerves on, if he did then he needs to be a singer & actor as he is good. I’m not bothered by the story he is a good singer and I never believe much what is printed in the media anyway as most is made up, they have to be able to bring people down or they are not happy.
I agree it is different singing in a group than on your own, even top groups have said how scary it is when they go solo.
my intuition about him laying it on with a trowel was right then.
Anything for a story…
Maybe the poor guy sucked in every bit of pride he had and made the most of the chance he had.
Why oh why do we have to keep putting people down in this country? Is it because peple are jealous of someone trying to better themselves or because they wish that they could sing like Jamie. So, he has performed on stage in London but as he says he was in a group and not solo. It is entirely different to sing on your own in front of a lot of people than in a group where no one really sees you as yourself but as part of the group. We always have to try and find something wrong or something in their background to discredit people who are simply trying to get on in life.
Jamie is talented. Why, oh, why couldn’t he have owned up to his past experience in a group instead of going to town on his “crippling” stage fright? He appears to have goofed. William Hill has announced that Jamie’s odds of winning BGT have sunk now that he’s been exposed.
Jamie Pugh is one of the best amateur singers. Who cares if he sang on stage before. His voice is a great!
He lied completely because he did perform a solo of ‘What a Wonderful World’ at Her Majesty’s theatre in the Haymarket as well as singing in a group a medley of Rod Stewart songs.
He is a manipulative fraud, and besides which he’s an ugly old wart-hog with a crappy voice…that stupid warble he calls a vibratto is so annoying and his sickly sentimental choice of songs is incredibly nauseating.
I hated his weak, third rate performance.
I really liked this guy in his first audition, but why did he have to act and lie. Anyone sticking up for him right now should find the video that he did perform a solo and see how he looked then. Certainly was not this stage fright, nervous guy, but confident. He also lied that he didn’t perform solo before.. What a joke. I do disagree when the press hype you up to knock you down, but this time they got it spot on. Betrayed
He is fake! I totally agree with Amanda Holden now. She is not fake, but he is fake.
He didnt need to lie in order to gain more votes IMO
what do you think?
