Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden flouted Islamic laws on hols to sunbathe naked?
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden and her family spent the New Year in the Maldives, and on the first day of her holiday – New Year’s Day – Amanda tweeted, “Couldn’t wish for a better first day of 2014. Looking forward to this year.
“Who has a sore head out there?”
She posted pictures of the luxury resort she was staying in as well as pictures of herself and her daughters Hollie and Lexi on the sundrenched beaches.
Earlier this week, in a message to Amanda on Twitter, fellow judge Alesha Dixon remarked, “Can’t wait to see my wife’s white bits.”
Amanda replied, “There aren’t many #nudeyMama!”
However, as the Sunday Mirror points out, “Amanda Holden could have been JAILED for sunbathing naked in The Maldives…
“The country’s strict Islamic law forbids nudism – and tourists who flout the rules and bare all can find themselves thrown in jail.”
On the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website, holidaymakers are warned, “Dress is generally informal but you should be sensitive to local dress standards when visiting non-resort islands.
“Nudism and topless sunbathing are not allowed anywhere.”
But as ever, I would guess it’s one rule for the wealthy and one for the plebs, because I can’t imagine anyone in what’s sure to have been a very expensive resort telling Amanda to cover up!
However, earlier this week, Amanda revealed she’s now back at home as she tweeted, “Home sweet wet rainy home! After Amaze Maldives!
“Looking forward to comparing white bits #BGT @AleshaOfficial @davidwalliams @SimonCowell”
BGT is back on our screens later this year, but in the meantime, the show’s official website is offering a whopping cash prize to ‘Star Scouts’.
Here’s what the site has to say…
Welcome to Star Scouts!
Last year we asked you to join our Judges in finding Britain’s best unknown talent. Once again we’re giving YOU the power to turn undiscovered performers into global superstars. We’re giving away tickets to watch those acts live on the Britain’s Got Talent stage, knowing it was you who put them there.
And you can win a whopping £10,000 if the act you discovered goes on to win Britain’s Got Talent 2014!
BGT: Star Scouts is your chance to help us uncover Britain’s brightest stars of the future.
Perhaps it’s your friend, the singer in your local pub or an act you’ve only seen online. As long as we can see them in a publicly available online video, you can nominate them.
How to enter
Using this nomination form you’ll need to send us your contact details and a link to a video of an act you’ve found online (e.g. on your favourite video sharing website). Click here for full terms and conditions or click the button below to get started!
The closing date for submissions is 9th February 2014.
Do you know anyone who’s applying this year?
