Britain’s Got Talent: Learn To Knit With Knit ‘n’ Natter
On tomorrow night’s Britain’s Got Talent you may just learn a valuable life skill as three Scottish ladies are on a mission to promote and raise awareness of a rather unusual past time. Christine (63), Pat (70) and Nancy (81) aka Knit ‘n’ Natter, are here today to show people how to finger knit…. “so I’m clear”, asks Ant, “you are going to go on stage, finger knit and have a chat with each other, and that’s the act?!”. “Yes” Christine explains, “It’s about empowering people”. With Ant at the side of stage with his ball of wool ready to follow the instructions, the ladies step out to meet the Judges.
Pat takes the lead with the act and the three ladies take their seats and give the audience, and the Judges instructions on how to go about finger knitting. But with a lot of knitting and little natter going on its not long before the dreaded buzzes go off. “Here’s the problem” explains Simon,” I don’t think anyone will find it that interesting, If it was me I’d have you all in different costumes and have some dancers”.
As the ladies leave the stage Piers queries if that was series, and Simon believes, “I think they watched the wrong show”.
Watch the show, Saturday 2nd May at 8.20 pm on ITV1.
