Britain’s Got Talent: ‘Like Mother Like Daughter’….the judges like the daughter…the mother not so much!
Like Mother Like Daughter are hoping to shine when they take to the Britain’s Got Talent stage on tonight’s show, however the judges seem to much prefer one of the performers over the other.
Dawn 38 and Abi, 14, traveled from Kent to try out for the ITV show and told the judges that they would be singing Plan B’s ‘She Said’ for their audition piece.
However most of the song consisted of Dawn singing and poor Abi only got the shortest little rap bit in the middle. Alesha Dixon buzzed before the teenager even got to perform and eventually, when it became clear that the tiny rap section was all Abi was getting, Cowell buzzed the act off and said:
“You know when you’re a duet, when you’re not doing anything you kind of help the person you’re with. It just took so much time to get to you”
David Walliams added:
“I just think you acted the whole time like someone was holding a gun to your head to do it, it didn’t look like there was any pleasure in being there”
“Well can I say something? I thought Abi was better than you”
Predictably the music mogul then asks Abi to sing alone and she raps to Ironik Ft Chipmunk – Tiny Dancer.
Tune in tonight to see what the judges thought of her second performance and whether she will advance to the next stage with, or without her mum.
This evening’s show is the final audition episode of the series and at the end, the finalists who have won a place in the live rounds will be revealed. Don’t miss Britain’s Got Talent at 8.30 this evening and check back with us later for the full and confirmed list.
