A twitter user has been expressing his anger at Britain’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell and David Walliams, after they were apparently rude to a contestant at the Manchester auditions this week.
The team are heading to Liverpool today, for their latest round of tryouts but it seems they haven’t yet been allowed to put the Mancunians behind them and an audience member tweeted David this week saying:
“Was poor how you treated Grandpa Joe on Sunday. Guess you just didnt get it. FYI – kids LOVE him. Seeing is believing”
David defended his actions and insisted that the audience were as unenthusiastic as the panel and he replied:
“In fairness to us judges the audience of 3000 people did boo him off the stage.”
The disgruntled fan also tweeted Amanda Holden adding:
“Was poor how you treated Grandpa Joe on Sunday. Guess you just didnt get it. FYI – kids LOVE him. Not scared!”
Grandpa Joe is a character that was created by Wirral man Carl Loughlin-Ravenscroft and has been described as an old man who reads fairy tales and pulls disgusting props from his book to keep children and young readers interested and engrossed.
30-year-old Carl has made quite an impression on YouTube and spends time not only making personal appearances in his local area, but also films children’s book reviews and posts them on his website and YouTube.
Carl wasn’t happy with how he was treated by the judges either and he tweeted Alesha Dixon, linking to the video below and saying:
“@AleshaOfficial this is what Grandpa Joe thinks of Alesha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W6NLy2vZUw … full of sh~t”
