Britain’s Got Talent: Michael Machell Reaches The Semi Finals
In September 2002, ‘believe it or not’, Michael knew nothing about music although he had always been interested in it. He went to college and has stuck at it over the last five years – he now has his grade five theory of music, grade one piano and a national diploma in music! He has entered the Pontins National Star Quest competition and the Festival for Stars talent contest in Liverpool for several years running.
Michael has two children from his first marriage, 23 and 21 and he has since re-married and has a three year old and a one year old with his second wife, Deborah.
Judges Comments:
Three buzzers but two Yes’s from Piers and Amanda
Simon – If I became prime minister would ban them things (keyboards). People who can’t play instruments shouldn’t get them. Probably the worst piece of music, absolutely ghastly.
Amanda – You’re a role model for keyboard players across Britain.

I don’t believe this mans music diploma has any value. It must have been bought.
Grade one piano in five years is atrocious. A child of five can achieve that in one school term. Grade one is nursery rhyme standard for those of you who don’t know much about pianos or keyboards.
In my school we have children who are at this standard with various instruments after only one term.
This man is not talented and is not a musician.
He is obviously been set up to fail as lets take the mickey television.
