Britain’s Got Talent: Shaun Smith The Next Mick Hucknall
17 year old A-level student Shaun Smith from Litchfield Staffordshire impresses the judges on tomorrow night’s Britain’s Got Talent. At school Shaun is a bit of a rugby star and plays three-four times a week but Shaun’s rugby mates have come along with him today to support his true passion, singing. As Shaun explains “I have been singing for as long as I can remember I’ve done little things but I’ve never sung at anything this big before. It’s all very well and good my Gran saying I’m good but she’s a little biased, but it’s my mates that are the most important thing and that’s when I get nervous as they could rip me to shreds!”.
Shaun sings Ain’t No Sunshine for the Judges and very quickly a big smile spreads across all three Judges faces and the audience, and all of Shaun’s rugby mates, are on their feet. Simon’s reaction to Shaun’s performance is “I genuinely wasn’t expecting that, you remind me of Mick Hucknall, but good looking. You’ve got a very authentic sounding voice”. But Amanda has some words of criticism, “take your hands out your pockets and believe in yourself as your body language is saying I’m crap but your voice is saying you’re brilliant, believe in yourself”. Will Shaun get a clean sweep of yes’s from the judges, and more importantly has Shaun made his mates proud?

Oh my lord! :O You was amazing.
I couldn’t help but listen. Your voice was hard not to listen to.
I understand were your coming from when you say your scared of getting ripped to shreds because im like that myself, and have many hidden talents no one but me and my close friends know about. You going an doing that has encouraged me to come out and go ” hey look i know you probably don’t think so but i can sing very well”.
I would just liek to say thank you.

well done mate you was brilliant, you should be proud of yourself and i bet your family are too =]
just have to say that your voice is brilliant, you looked like you was singing from the heart and thats what matters.
i love songs that mean something and when you sing thats how it feels like you want people to hear what your saying and i think that is brill, and as for you wanting to make people happy well that was just amazing you really are 1 in a million.
anyways GOOD LUCK im backing you 110% and you really deserve this its not often people like us get a chance
