Britain’s Got Talent: Simon Cowell almost gets hit in Edward Pinder knife throwing stunt!
Simon Cowell is reportedly furious with his Britain’s Got Talent co-star David Walliams, after he instigated a knife throwing stunt which put the show boss in mortal danger.
The judges hit Birmingham last weekend and one of the hopefuls performing for the panel was an 11 year old named Edward, whose speciality was throwing knives.
The act was described as a little boring so David suggested that the school boy spice things up a little by swapping his mum for Simon Cowell. The Little Britain star thought it would add an extra element of danger to the show.
Simon may have brought the stunt on himself as he told the lad:
“It wasn’t dangerous enough.”
He tried to retract his words as David and the audience chanted for him to join the act on stage but it wasn’t going to work and eventually Simon stood in front of Edward, fearing for his life.
He was right to be worried and the audience gasped as it appeared Simon had been hit in the shoulder by a blade.
It turned out that the knife missed him by just a few millimetres and an insider told The Daily Star:
“The knife was so close. He was absolutely shaken by the stunt”
“He won’t forgive David for making him do this.
“There are still some audition dates left and he will want revenge.”
It looks like David continued the torture though and last night the dad of one revealed that he managed to engage Cowell in a spot of wrestling at the Birmingham event.
“So tonight @SimonCowell and I actually wrestled to the song ‘Love Changes Everything’. #BGTBirmingham”
The star also revealed that Amanda Holden has already used her golden buzzer and chosen an act for the live rounds, while Walliams spent his time dancing with a Cowell blow up doll.
It sounds like so much fun! Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV this spring. Leave your comments below…
