Britains Got Talent: The Kombat Breakers WOW Simon Cowell
During the recent Birmingham auditions for the newest ITV show ‘Britains Got Talent’, Simon Cowell was mightily impressed by a Coventry Breakdance Group.
Afetr they performed their routine for Mr Cowell, He astounded the boys by telling them they were the freshest act he had seen in the UK.
Ryan, aged 20, of Stoke, Coventry, told icCoventry: “Simon said we were the freshest act he had seen in the UK and that we will be inspiring to young people across the whole country.
“We got a standing ovation and he said we were terrific.
“It was really overwhelming to hear it from Simon Cowell.
“It couldn’t have gone any better and now we’re through to the next round.”

I applied for Britains Got Talent a while ago and have recently seen the auditions in Birmingham. I’m a little worried as they havent got back to me yet. I heard someone said they have an audition next week. Are they holding them all next week or what. When will I hear? I’m getting a bit worried because I dont know when the auditions are. Not properly yet anyway.

London auditions are this week until Saturday.
Manchester and Cardiff are from next week. If you applied for London after 9th Jan 2007 you would have missed the cut off.
The cut off for Manchester and Cardiff is TOMORROW! If you want to apply for a slot you should print off and take your application form BY HAND tomorrow to FremantleTalkback Thames at 1 Stephen Street London W1.
Otherwise you will not get a spot.

Elliot the recalls for Birmingham was last week. You have not got a recall.
Stelliewell wear whatever your daughter feels comfortable in. Take flat shoes as you will be standing a lot in a queue! And water and a sandwich too!

my daughter had her audition 20th feb we had a great day out she was really nervous when we got there but you wait ages to go in so she calmed right down as shes under 16 shes 14,i had to go in with her,i was so proud she sung really well and nerves where no where to be seen,she will get a call and a letter in 4 to 6 weeks to lets us know if shes got a 2nd audition that 1 with simon and 2 other judges fingers crossed but shes not getting her hopes up 1000’s of people doing it.

Nice post about taking flat shoes, Water and a Sarnie.
On One of my first auditions, I took a sleeping bag, my gown in a suit bag with my sheet music pinned to it, everything else in a handbag. I arrived over night and it was freezing.
You shouldn’t anything like this today, so don’t worry.

Hello Maureen,Just a quick note my son Jack auditioned yesterday 28th of Feb at Manchester and it could not of gone better on his part he done everything he practised perfectly for the audition. He sung aint that a kick in the head by Dean Martin and done his mammy very very proud cosidering he has had no training at all i think hes amazing.
He did get on camera as one of the workers i belive from the production team came and got him to stand at the front and he also sung in the middle of the floor.
In the audition room the production team were great friendly and made him relaxed although i must say i think i was the one with the nerves and not jack i could not look at there faced during his audition for willing him to too well, After the audition i have explained to him that on waiting to here for the 2nd auditions if he by chance does not get contacted all he has to think about is that he done his best and thats all that matters over all it was a good day thanks for you help by the way we are Newcastle as well god bless Mrs Harrop

Hey, i had an audition with my band on March 1st last week in Manchester.
The auditions are infront of one of the producers which isnt that bad and they film it.
you will find out if you got through or not in 4-6 weeks i think they said.
Then you perform infront of Simon and 2000 audience members at another manchester thetre which are the auditionees if you all understand me.
It’s really not that bad!!
Oh and im at the front haha of the queue when they film people walking up to the bulding screaming haha which is all fake they told us to pretend it was summer :p lol wooo were called shortstuf

im 12 years old and i auditioned 4 singing!
i sang michael jackson ‘ u r not alone’ and its really not as nerve racking as u think!!! the celeb judges a’rnt there, only the producers. u c the celeb judges in the next round. i just sang infront of a women and another girl with a video camera! i was a bit nervous but my voice didnt tremble! the feedback was gr8 from her. she said that i had a very distinctive and unique voice! so any1 who’s got an audition coming up dont worry, just b urself and have fun!! ps: it doesnt matter where u r in the line when u line up cause b4 auditions start, every1 has 2 b registered! my slot was meant 2 b 12.00, but we went in at 10 to 3!

We were doing an informal gig with our band at the Millenium centre on the Tesco stage yesterday and the producers of Britains got Talent came in and asked us to audition!! We ended up doing a 10 minute slot on camera with an interview as well – no idea really what we were auditioning for or when the next round is!!Can anyone help?

Heyy im from the project voluntry youth group!! Were a group of 9-16 year olds who both dance and breakdance, we had our audition today and were asked for a few interviews and to show some of our routine, a few of our breakdancers showed a few of their moves as sort of a workshop for the public. Just wanted to say good luck to everyone who’s taking part, hope things go well ..The Project x ps..if your looking out then were the kids in black and white with the creepy painted faces haha .

My daughter and I auditioned in London 20/02 duet ‘Generation Gap’ read lots of forum comments and it seems that the regionals seem to follow different formats. some expecting a phine call others letters. I thought those successful would get a call the others a letter. So confused.
Recall now complete at Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester recalls taking place through March (tickets available via Applause store. Still have not heard whats happening for London regionals no venue or date seem to have been published. Appreciate any info any of you may have.

Hi to everyone who has taken part in Britains Got Talent. Has the days are getting closer to reciving a call back i can imagine many of you like myself are worried and anxious willing the phone call to confirm the next round.
Its my son whom had taken part in the audition and like many of you i belive he done realy well i can especially say from my point of view in anyways.
It Has been a nerve racking time especially for those who auditioned like my son on the 28th of febuary at Manchester after auditioning like many of yous he was told that he would here within 4 to 6 weeks after his audition, only to find that the recalls are happening in Manchester Opera House on the 23rd 24th and 25th of March i belive may be a few days out here.
So as alot of people have said the calls to confirm the next round may not be to far off maybe a matter of days.
Wow doesnt ease the nerves because then we thinking well initially i was told 4 to 6 weeks but then the Opera House is booked for the dates realesed. Does this mean that some people may have been told something else?
Honestly i dont belive so, i belive that on the day thay do have an idea has to whom is going to through to the next round but dont say anything.
Anyways this is from my heart to you all GOOD LUCK in reciving a call and always remember if that call does not arrive and you have been unsucessful keep going towards your dreams and never give up as 1 door closes another 1 opens

WELL IVE BEEN TOLD THAT WE HAVE 2 SING INFRONT OF 2,000 AUDITIONEES THAT HAVE GOT THROUGH 2 THE NEXT ROUND. THE CELEB PANEL(simon cowell,amanda holden and piers morgan)
will be there and THEY HAVE A RED BUTTON BESIDE THEM. IF THEY DONT LIKE UR ACT THEY THEY BUZZ U WITH THEIR BUTTON. IF 2 OR MORE OF THE JUDGES BUZZES U THEN U DONT GO THROUGH 2 THE NEXT ROUND. My daughter auditioned the 24 feb. We haven’t heard anything yet. She did a bit of acting and dance and they were really nice to her. We were told 4-6 weeks for callbacks but the wikipedia website says the London ones have been done! Can that be true? Were Birmingham callbacks after 2 weeks?

Cardiff call back for the recall shows have been done on Saturday and Sunday 10/11th March. If you have not had a call back by 14th March, you are not one of the lucky ones.

I spoke to the production co today. The recall phone calls for Cardiff will be completed by this Wednesday 14th March and the Manchester calls for the next round by the 21st March.
Londoner’s we have to wait – the venue is still tbc and the calls HAVE NOT BEEN MADE!
And everyone will get a thank you letter – whether you are through or not!

Hey guys i went to birmingham on the 27th!!!!!!!I didn’t makie it you will know when the call backs are if ur worried as it says on ur audition letter (which was infront of the producers). I didn’t get through and found out by calling freemantle media at 1 Stephan Street, I also got a letter. They don’t care how good u r btw, it;s all about those questions, like what do you think of the queen and who do you aspire to be like, they asked those for a reason they don’t want someone shy!

We are 4 girls who danced street/hip hop at Cardiff on the tuesday. We havn’t got a recall but are really dissapointed because the two judges seemed to really like us and one even called us over after we had finished our routine and gave us advice for the next round! We really wish that hadn’t happened because it just gave us false hope,

I posted this on the other Amanda Holden blog but thought I’d ask you guys too.
I see (from Applause Store) that the 6th April has been announced as the date for London call backs (no venue given yet) but so far this is the only date and only one time is given(11.15am). Does anyone know if there will be other dates and times for London? If not, can that mean that less people will be called back from the London auditions? There’s three dates for the Manchester callbacks, with two shows per day, presumably with 10/15 acts per show if it’s the same as Birmingham so I can’t help wondering how many people will the call back from London if there’s only one slot! Any one got any views, or additional info.

advice to anyone doing recalls: try not to look directly at Simon and co it can make you more nervous, and in any case, try to perform for the audience….

Just a quick note to say that i don’t think that many people get to even the 1st proper round of the competion because of so many entering!(50,000)It is probably harder than winning the lottery!Let’s just hope that we can all gain a positive experience from it all!

A lot of the reason behind some people getting picked for the first stage is down to what you put down about your act and about yourself in the application.
I sang Nessun Dorma: I did look at the judges at the start, and felt all wobbly, but I did notice the look a shock on Simon Cowell’s face when I started singing…

Yes…some really sweet little dancers got through who were dressed as bees!…they were so cute.I can’t remember what the name of there group was but they were very good and did a fab routine that they had obviously rehearsed very well!the audience liked them alot.Oh…apparently they don’t just dress as bees…they have alot of different costumes made for them.I’m sure that they will be an ‘ah!’ factor on the tv!

Our band – the A470’s have been put through to the next round!! We performed on Sat in Cardiff to Simon, Amanda and Piers and 200 people. The audience were great, clapping along and they booed Simon when he said he didn’t like our choice of number! Piers loved us and Amanda said she wanted to hear us do more big band stuff in the next round!The audience are encouraged to boo or cheer so we were relieved when they clapped and cheered us! Some people were very upset at being booed. It was a very long day but we are flatered to be in the final 100, which is apparantly how many will go through to the next round. then we have to attend a day where they cut that to 50. No idea when that will be as other cities auditons are still to take place.

I was backstage with my little girl who was waiting to go on about 2 acts after you. You were absolutely amazing and my partner told me you had a standing ovation. You were unbelievable. My little girl got through too. Very nerve racking. The audience loved her and like you she wasnt buzzed out by any of the judges. Apparently not many people went through on the Friday. but there were 5 in our group that were put through. Anyway good luck to A470 and Pavvi who got through and will see you at the next round. Thanks for that hi, I was very flattered by Piers telling me that I would be one of the favourites, and the film crews were full of that part of it trying to get me to say that I was gonna win it. I have always been down to earth and intend to stay that way. For that reason I want to take each stage as it comes. Of course I want to go all the way and win, but I need to make sure that I get through each stage without piling too much pressure on myself. I should have invited Simon Cowell and his credit card out for suit shopping!!!!

They called during the day and that is the most likely time that they will call. As far as the song is concerned, you get to sing for as long as they haven’t all buzzed you. However, I would prepare an amount you are comfortable with and concentrate on preparing that bit really well rather than doing more and taking a chance on being buzzed.

Just to say that i got a call back about 8.30 pm for Manchester.I think the call backs for Manchester go on until the 21st though.I did find out that only 80 people get through out of 5000 just in Manchester.

My daughter had first audition 5th March in Cardiff. We then had a phone call about 4pm Sunday 11th for the recall which was Saturday 17th March, so it all happened quite quick. There were acts from all over the country at Cardiff though. I spoke to people from Manchester, Liverpool and Kent. My daughter has got through to the next heat but we dont know what it will entail. regards J x

Glad people are getting callbacks now. It’s awful waiting. I had a few days tied to my phone. Hopefully it will be over soon for you. As my sons dance mates got through and he did not it was difficult for him and I was gutted telling him he wasn’t through. However he took it brilliantly. Anyway it put it in perspective coming second to a piano playing pig. It’s not all about talent, just if you make good TV and in the right place at the right time. ENJOY the experience. We are having a great time now following who is though and if we know anyone. Can’t wait to see the programme. What an experience. Wish I had had that chance at their age.

The timings are all down to theatre bookings. I’m personally glad that they have done it in the way they have in front of live audiences much better atmnosphere

It seems that they are going for a diverse range of talent. The act ultimately has to appear on the “Royal Variety Performance”, so it is about variety. We had a wide range of call backs at our recall. I dont think that many went through on the Friday show but Pavvi you are right about the audience. They need to know that the winner will not freeze on the night. This competition is about ALL talent, no just singers. OK yes my daughter went through who is 12 and Pavvi went through but I have to say that Pavvi was amazing. He had a standing ovation. That type of talent gets missed and obviously is not what they look for in the X factor, but the type of act that would go down brilliantly at the Royal Variety. From what I saw, the acts that went through on the day that I was there in Cardiff, deserved to go through. They were all talented in different ways. Anyway, good luck to the recalls in London and Manchester. J x

I am sure they won’t my Son is a Classically trained Soprano but has a good belt voice too. Not much chance as he is only 13, and a lot of young singers have already gone through. Well done to your daughter. My Son will try for X Factor when he is old enough. He likes the auditions and has no problem with audiences as he has sang at the Opera House in Manchester and a few other places. Think we would have heard yesterday if he had made it as our audition was on the the 28th. He was also on “Let me entertain you” last year on BBC2 so they may not pick him because he has been on TV before.

Hi, Still waiting to hear from London auditions, but can’t help being a little doubtful because so far I’ve not heard of any singers over the age of 14 going through. Possibly becaue of the new X factor age limit.
But just in case, can any singers who did get through to second round tell me if you are expected to perform acapella infront of the audience or do they provide/allow music.
In the ‘America’s Got Talent’ first round in front of an audience (shown on youtube)there was a small orchestra at the rear of the stage.
Also, are you asked to perform the same song that you did at the 1st round of auditions?

Well done Leah. So pleased for you. Just enjoy and be really confident in front of the judges. My daugther is 12 and sung acapella. There was no orchestra. I think that there can be issues with using backing tracks. Its to do with copyright I think, but saying that Pavvi used a backing track. You will need to call one of the researchers to ask if ok to use a track. You have to sing exactly the same as you did in the first audition and wear the same as this is supposed to be the first audition. You cannot change anything. Even the people with you have to dress the same. Hope that helps. Jx

Hi Leah,
So sorry about your nan. She will be really proud of you getting through. Well done. You have to definately wear the same clothes for continuity reasons. The ast auditions are going to be mixed with these auditions and made to look the same day so you have to wear exactly the same things, plus your hair etc the same. Good luck anyway. I saw the girls with the harps but they were on after my daughter so we dont know whether they were through or not. Leah – it shouldnt matter about your hair as long as its not dramatically different. You will get a letter saying everything has to be exactly the same as last time. When did you sing for simon Cowell before? What date is your recall? Good luch. J x

My daughter auditioned on the 27th she was dancing and wearing a black and orange catsuit, Did you see her, she is extremely flexible and was asked aftre her audition to wait around to have some filming done, so all in all it sounded very positive but no call yet!!!!
So far i have not heard that they have put any dancers through only singers and acts!!!!!!
I wonder if there not going to put dancers through which if this is the case they should not had been offerd a audition in the first place.

Some dancers got through for Cardiff.
How many acts were at each show. Someone said they only need 80 acts from Manchester but there are suppose to be 6 shows. I thought there were more like 20 a show and so there would 120 acts needed altogether

There were quite a few dancers in the recalls on Saturday and I know of one group that definately got through. Also a Bollywood Dancer and breakdancers got through in Birmingham so yes there are dancers going through. J x

I was allowed to use backing tracks, basically because I just happened to say to the soundman that I wish I’d been able to use backing tracks, as I felt that with opera it is actually part of the whole act in a similar way that it is for dancers. With opera the singer is just another instrument and often when it is taken in isolation is difficult to put into context.
I didn’t push to do it with backing, they simply asked me if I had it with me, and they had a word with someone backstage. It did help I think that the orchestral backing I had are actually published by BMG Ricordi which Simon does have some influence over, as BMG is the label he is signed to

Hi Elaine,We had our audition day the same day as yours, unfortunatlly we havent heared anything either we have guarded the phone for 2 days since finding that the phone calls ahve started. Thankfully Jack has not given it a second thought and has just got on with life since his audition i think kids do this when they are at such a young age its been his mum lol whos got worked up.
I would of loved for him to be given the opertunity to meet Simon Cowell it would be a dreem come true for him however things are looking dim

The Manchester rounds are this weekend from the 23rd to the 25th and the recalls are done by the 21st.i had a call back on sunday evening and will be in the sunday morning slot.I’m really nervous and hate the idea of those buzzer things going off!!!!!!…it could really throw the performer ’cause then you know that they have had enough of you.

Its my boy who dances. Wish I could as well as he does. He isn’t through but throughrally enjoyed himself. Cant grumble though he is through to the World Street Championships and (very strange mixture) the Irish dance open in Dublin. He enjoys dancing which is the most important.
If you see him please let me know. He also did a link for ITV2. He had a lightsaber with him which the production crew were playing with. I was surprised it survived. Really looking forward to the TV show. Wish I could see a heat. Couldn’t get into Cardiff and the rest is too far away to take time off. Really hope you do well Marianne. What is your act?

I don’t usually enter competions but just thought i would give this one a go.I’ve always been interested in T.V and thought it was a great way to have fun and learn from being in it whatever happens!Should be entertaining viewing…with all the characters!
I play the piano and talk/sing(can’t really sing that well!) but I love entertaining!! However i am not that confident and will be so nervous before I go on on sunday.I just hope no..one shouts ‘Off Off etc’ and boo!!!!! but I am prepared for it ’cause i won’t be the only one if that happens ’cause apparently the warm up man tells everyone to say that if they don’t like someone.Not nice!!!

Try to get someone to try and distract you while you are practising. if anyone you know has the Family fortunes incorrect answer tone as a ringtone or on video get them to chme in with that realy loud while practising, that way you’ll loearn to deal with the distraction. You won’t get a sound check yourself….they will just get you onto stage and they will have a chat with you, and then you do their act, and then they let you know what they think

We could hear the cross sound in the holding room. I’m not sure how many made it to the next round. I am pretty sure that they aren’t taking a fixed amount from each venue, as there were very few people going forward from the friday auditions from what I heard. I think there were about 7 – 10 acts through on saturday across both sessions but that is pretty much guess work. I had heard that onlt 4 made it through from Friday’s session….
There were a few dancing groups, some singers also, don’t know about others

I got through the cardiff recalls and am already selected for the 3rd round. My impression is that they will to put people through just for the sake of making up the numbers to 100. I’m certain that they will find plenty of quality out there, but I don’t think that 25 people were chosen in Cardiff over the 2 days…more like 15 at most…so there isn’t a set number that they will pick from each venue, that is what I meant

Well leah,
First of all relax and enjoy it. Rest the day before, don’t practise after Friday so you can save your voice for sunday. Be well warmed up, before you go on stage, and perform for the audience not the judges.
The judges won’t be nasty, if Simon does criticise you just ask him for his advice on what he thinks you should do, he does get pointed at by people for being nasty, but I generally think that he just puts his pount of view across in a matter of fact way and that is generally more helpful.

Hi, something very similar happened when they had the auditions for the x factor. Was told by a girl who had got through and been told two days before, she was there again supporting her friend, but she told me that she was positive that they have their quota of numbers and if they overun that the first few days.. its hard luck for the rest, you could be maria carey or whitney houston and still not get through. Makes ya wonder eh?

I found this tel no,,Lisa Chandarana ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Hotline Number: 020 7691 5001 recorded message, but says can take up to 4 weeks of 1st audition to hear anything back..
We did however receive a telephone call the day before, to make sure we would be going. Did anyone else have such a call? Yet we still havent heard anything. re Cardiff auditons.

Found a site on wikipedia.. says this.. Callbacks for both have been made for the Cardiff and Manchester auditions, who have been infront of the judges. The Cardiff auditions were on the 10/11th March with the Manchester auditons on the 23rd-25th of March at the Carling Apollo Theatre. (WELL DOESNT GIVE THEM MUCH TIME TO LOOK THROUGH THE TAPES FROM AUDITIONS FEW DAYS BEFORE?) HMMM? GOES ON TO SAY.. The London callbacks have been made. Very few succeded, however the audition will be held on the 6th April at a well known Lomdon venue. Each Day at a venue around 6 – 8 acts get through so places are very competitive. Yup Al, the girl who got through through for x factor, told me that they had told her the same thing about dress code..
Auditions in Cardiff were quite disorganised. so were people actually told expect a letter or a call back?

Whatever format the show takes will be indicative of how many actually do get through to the televised heats.
80 is a very liberal estimate of how many acts will get through.
It is from my experience of having judged for similar variety shows that a figure close on 8 turns per show with 2 side acts from the worst contenders would be televised per show. A maximum of six heats with one final. 48 contestants maximum and 12 sides.
Unless the survivor from each show goes through to the next. As with Graham Nortons* “when will I be famous”. In which case there would be one less place per heat. In this latter show the winner of each heat picked up 10K, and in the final could pick up a 100K.
BGT haven’t decided on the actual prizes accept with a promotional run for the Royal Variety show place guaranteed.
It will be interesting to see how the show develops as a lot of people are keen.

Hi All, Just a Thank You to you all who have given me advice and support whilst waiting to here back for BGT over a second audition. Unfortunatly i have just had my call returned from a gentleman named Ollie at BGT and he told me that all call backs have now been complete and asked for Jacks Surname when i gave him it he told me that Jacks name was not on his list and that he had been unsucessful.Am i sick? Yes but i belive as 1 door closes another 1 opens although im the 1st to admit that Jack has not got the best voice and has not had any training what so ever but he is indeed a great entertainer and put a crowd of 1000 people infront of him and he will do his thing.I wish those of you that have been chosen the best of luck for the future.
For those of you still awaiting please call Ollie and im sure he will give you the same advice as he gave me i think waiting is a terrible game and i have done it over this past few days however i hate to be the 1 to say the calls have finished but i hate to see you all feeling the way i have been feeling.

Hi Josey, so sorry to hear about your son, but you are right to stay positive and looking at one door closing another opening. A good attitude to have. Anyway good luck to all those others who had call backs. My daughter who is 12 years old sang on Saturday to Simon etc in Cardiff and is through to the next round. I dont imaging for one minute that she will win as the act that wins goes on the Royal Variety Show, so they are looking for a variety act I think opposed to a singer. I just look at this as a wonderful experience for her and has wanted to sing for Simon for the last 3 yearss. Her dream has come true and he loved the sound of her voice. She is changing her song for the next round as Amanda thought it may have been too old for her. Anyway good luck those with recalls. J xxxxxxxxxx

I do think the X Factor is the right show for young singers, not BGT. Shame my Son is still 4 months too young. Not 14 till August.

i agree im 15 nd i am a classically trained singer but can also sing pop and i auditioned in manchester nd still avent gt a call so i exspect i avnt got in but ive entered da x factor and rekon i av a much beta chance cz i tink BGT r lukin for aswel as singers and dancers mostly unusual acts and singings nt unusual at all lol i av my grades in singing and everyting so i thought ii had a pretty gud chance but im obv nt what they r lukin 4 like i said i dnt tink there particuarly lukin 4 singers but ya kno its ova now so il av 2 focus on x factor lol

When did you audition? and have you had a call back yet, were rooting for you.
I spoke to BGT tonigght and they told me also that they are still calling and would be tonight and tomorrow. I think it takes a while because they have to have agood mix and remember that they are taking 40 acts per day for Manchester so thats 120 calls to make which takes time.

Really sorry to read your news Leah.. it’s so unfair.
Now comes the wait for us lot from the London auditions. Been waiting for ages. Anyone know when they are planning to start calling.
Question for Pavvi… I read earlier that when recalled you perform first in front of the three judges and then they say who performs in front of the live audience later that day. Is that right, and do you still wear the same outfit and sing acapella to the audience?
To those who got through, I wish you lots of luck. To those that didn’t… keep smiling. From what I saw there’s a ton of great talent out there.

Try not to be too upset, as this show might not be the best one for Talented Young Singers. My Son was on “Let me entertain You” last year singing “Left Outside Alone”. Hi Lyn,
You perform once only for the judges and that is in front of the audience. Same outfit is essential as they will edit any footage they took of you in the first audition and put it altogether with what they do on the recall day. You have to do the same piece for the recall as in the first audition, and the general rule is acapella, partly because of possible copyright issues.

MeGg what date did you audition on my daughter auditioned on the 3 march she had a fab audition and the two ladys that were in the room one on camera the other satat a table said she had such a beautifull voice with loverly tones and the woman on the camera said that that was fantastic .But we have not had a call back but my daughter has said that there comments were fab and she was happy if she did not get through as they had made her day . she also sang all her song as the auditioners befor her were in and out verse and chorus .try not to let it get you down they are looking for a variety of people and this does not refect on your talent good luck for your futurex

I would now take it that you have been unsuccessful this time and if you do by chance get a call then it will be a bonus
No point getting upset about it as PEEPS said you need to move on and put this down to experience you are only young and there will be plenty of opportunities for you over the next few years

When my daughter auditioned there was a young girl who was singing in opera what a fantastic voice she had it was so clear. my daughter said that when she was 14 i think she auditioned for x factor but was to young to go through but simon loved her i bet she has got through we watched her do an interview and when she started to sing the whole place was so silent she was really good.

I truly believe that they are looking for a variety of acts…good and bad so it will make good t.v
I think all the singers…It is soooooooo hard to get through because they want something different than the X factor competition.So, don’t lose hope of your ambitions and dreams and keep going with more auditions!!!!!!
Come on….Anyone can do better than a Pig playing the piano…but that is funny for the TV.
So everyone that has not got through don’t be upset…It is not because you are not talented!

Just a repeat of previous post to all those not recalled:-
Try not to be too upset, as this show might not be the best one for Talented Young Singers. My Son was on “Let me entertain You” last year singing “Left Outside Alone”. The other acts were a Lady Body Builder, A made up Super Hero called Captain Beany with an Orange face singing “Fly me to the moon” with props. A man talking about “Only Fools and Horses” and a Gospel Puppet Theatre.
He won tickets to see “Beyonce” but as for a good career move………debatable!!! Would still have a go if he got a called for BGT though. X Factors more his style though!

well said Maria i do feel for the young though but you have to be able to take the knocks in this buisness you win some you loose some my daughter has a very good attitude she always says i am just going to enjoy the moment and if its ment to be it will happen i did worry about her when she was younger but that was me worring not her she just takes it on the chin and never lets it get her down . i was not very happy with her going to audition at first but wheni see the delight on her face when she has done something she truly loves and trains so hard for i am very proud .All the young ones that went for this should be so proud of themselves as to have the [AS I SAY BOTTLE] to go in there and audition infront of cameras and producers take something special i no i could not do it so a BIG WELL DONEx

you guys are right bianca ryan was brill simon coulnt let her slip thru the net shes a big money earner for him. it is a variety show but i think all singers who auditioned would most just want simon to hear what he thought of them.even if was to be beaton and demorolised with being buzzed off the stage

nop but the more i think they will have more than there fair share of singers there looking for people to entertain the public have you seen the royal variety it can be a bit boring sometimes with all that circus stuff this show is the same i saw it in the states although i would love to have had a call back and obviously not good enough i dont think there would have been a contract

A pig playing a piano well ive got to see that one he he. My daughter said i should of took my 5 little dacshund dogs[SAUSAGE DOGS] they also like to sing when they hear the music to ANIMAL hospital on tv we have recorded a series as they all love to watch it but its not on any more. They can be out in the garden but as soon as they hear the music to the series they all come running in and start singing to the tv . They would of been fab instead of a pig playing a piano.When we auditioned there was a lady with two cats i dont no what they were going to do but they certainly were not happy about it I wonder if they got through?

My Son only went for BGT and things as there was nothing else. X Factor is for 14 year olds now so he will not enter BGT next year, he will just go for the X Factor instead.

when i went to manchester there was an old lady dancing with pompms and the cameras were all over her she looked drunk to me but its like x factor thats what the public laugh at i dont want to be laughed at i want people to cheer cause they think im good

Hi everyone,
Really sorry to all you great performers from Manchester that didn’t get a call. From the comments hI’ve read, you sound like a great bunch.
If it’s any help to those waiting to hear about London recalls, I’ve just spoken to Ollie in the production office (3pm) He said they will not start the London call backs until next week, (probably the end of next week. I also asked if singers over the age of 14 were unlikely to be called back becasue of the X factor age limit change and he said that won’t affect their chances of being recalled.
Hope this helps….

I know that the Pig was not that good either and simon didn’t want to let it through…typical! two out of three votes buzz off things.It actually finished its act!!!!

Leah – If you are applying for X factor make sure the production team know what has happened at these auditions: Alongside a good preliminary audition, this will see you through to the next round….don’t give up and keep plugging away….

Hi All
Sorry for those who did not get through. Had my sons Thanks but no thanks letter today. He did not have the same experience as most of you had, but he is perfectly fine about and looking forward to other competitions. Our audition was one of the last of the 8 on Tuesday morning in Cardiff in group C. We eventually got taken out onto the landing (played to by As band which were very good) and the got taken into group A room. They asked him his name , age, asked him to dance, cut him off half way through and said Thanks. Not a very encouraging audition for an 11 year old especially as he is not a bad dancer. At least they could have talked to him. However at least I know he can take a hard audition and we enjoyed the day.
