Britain’s Got Talent: Tracy Lee Collins Does Celine!

44 year old Tracy Lee Collins (male) is an occupational therapy assistant for autistic adults by day and singer by night and he’s been involved in amateur dramatics for over 20 years, but he on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show he reveals that he is hoping to leave behind his day job and start a new career as a professional singer.

As Tracy explains to Ant & Dec, “I am nervous and excited but it’s cheaper than gas and air! I don’t have the classic gorgeous looks of a singer but I’m ready, willing and able and I’m going to knock the Judges flat”.

Singing Think Twice by Celine Dion the Judges are initialling unimpressed with Simon and Amanda not taking long to hit their buzzers, much to the audience’s displeasure, but as Tracy launches into the top range notes the audience, and Piers are swaying in the aisles and its not long before they are all up on their feet. “Tracy’s a hit” declares Dec backstage.

Piers says delivers his verdict and declares that “this show is all about people like you”, but Simon disagrees, “This show is NOT about people like you Tracy” and Simon thinks Tracy would be better off performing in a dress, “It would be more believable, you’d be more comfortable”, “I could be Cilla Black” suggests Tracy, “there’s no need to go that far. Will Amanda or Simon change their minds and put Tracy through to the next round? The audience certainly seem to think he should be going through.

Tracy may be through but he faces some strong competition from up and down the country, including retired IT teacher John Hagen, who plays the bones (animal bones!), which amazingly impresses the judges enough that they put him through to the next round.

Also impressing the Judges are a Family acrobatic act, The Daredevils, who impressively leap backwards over a car and a junk percussion act, Bang On, whose act is definitely not “rubbish”.

I thought Tracy sooo..deserved to get into the finals! He is entertaining, funny and is naturally just for the theatre! I was really disappointed when he wasn’t nominated. Tracy looks really good in a dress!!! He definitely should have won Britain’s Got Talent even though the final hasn’t come. I hope it is a ITV scandal again when Tracy’s votes where blocked and so he gets in!!!
