Britain’s Got Talent triumphed in the viewer ratings again last night as The Voice viewers abandon the show!
It’s been revealed today that yet again, ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent beat rival BBC1 show The Voice in the viewer ratings last night…
And furthermore, figures released this morning suggest that The Voice lost viewers last night – when compared to previous weeks’ figures – as the show moved into its battle rounds stage.
Around 10million of us tuned in to watch Britain’s Got Talent last night, while The Voice attracted an average of around 7.5million fans.
At its peak – and including ITV+1 viewers – Britain’s Got Talent boasted over 12million viewers while at its height last night, The Voice managed just 8million.
However, while ITV are confident that BGT will continue to outshine The Voice, as we reported earlier, they’re not so sure that the new series of The X Factor will follow suit if it’s pitted directly against the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing this year. As a result, ITV intends to avoid airing in the same timeslot as SCD.
But that said, the competition in terms of viewer ratings goes on regardless of whether two shows air simultaneously or not, as evidenced by the weekly comparisons between BGT and The Voice, the latter having moved its airtime to avoid a direct clash.
Anyway, here’s a reminder of last night’s BGT…
