Britain’s Got Talent Twitter Rant: Amanda Holden IS friends with Alesha Dixon…..got it?

Amanda Holden is getting fed up with all the rumours and has spoken out about her relationship with fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.

Trying to set the record straight, the new mum has insisted that she is NOT feuding with or jealous of her younger co-star and revealed that in fact she is getting fed up with members of the press constantly trying to pit them against one another.

It was reported last week that Holden was feeling miffed, because Alesha had enjoyed more screen time than her on the first few episodes of the ITV show, however she insists that she has no problem with the former Mystique singer and is ‘disappointed’ that what she predicted would happen, finally has.

Writing on her official website Amanda explained:

“As a mother of two girls I am raising them to be considerate and respectful of other women and each other. I cannot stand by and let untruths be printed or posted online which they may possibly read in the future.”

She added: “Both Alesha and I are hugely disappointed that everything we predicted to happen has – despite us sharing a genuine friendship. I hope to be back for series 7 of BGT and have never considered leaving.”

Posting on Twitter, the mum of two added:

This is the first and last time I will comment on this matter but there never has and never will be a rift btwn Alesha and myself

it seems even though we like each other some female press (which makes it worse) still want to Pitt us against each other.Sad x

makes me feel so angry and sick to the stomach. It’s something we have both tried to let happen but this bullsh*t sells

when it’s lies I cannot stand by and let it happen.Always prided myself BGT is a family show about talent not judges?

why can’t more women in this country stick together

Alesha backed up her pal, insisting:

“I love Amanda. We’re really close friends and I think she’s great. It’s always unfair when the press try to pit women against each other. Where’s the sisterhood in that?”
