Hoping to bring a smile to the Judges faces on tomorrow night’s Britain’s Got Talent are Two Grand, made up of Grandfather and Granddaughter John (76) and Sally (12). The pair have been singing together for the last two years, although as Sally explains “It can take him quite a while to learn the words to the songs!”. A singer for over 50 years John’s biggest ambition has always been to perform at the Royal Variety and now he wants to do that with his granddaughter at his side. And the pair have an extra special reason to do well today, John lost his wife last year after 54 years of marriage together, and the pair are hoping that she will bring them some luck and get them though to the next stages.

Singing A Whole New World from Disney’s Aladdin with their family waiting in the wings, the audience are obviously smitten with the two and when Simon buzzes the audience are not slow to show their displeasure in Simon. After their performance Amanda comments that the pair “surprised her, I wasn’t expecting that to be that good” Kelly calls the performance “adorable” and Piers states that “this competition is all about people like you, you cam out here and totally charmed this audience”. But Simon, as always, puts a slight dampener on things, “I love the relationship between the two of you but it’s like putting 7 sugars in your coffee, it’s a little bit too sweet”. Will the pair charm the Judges enough to get the three yes’s they need to make it once step closer to the Royal Variety.
