Britain’s Got Talent was Connected’s first public performance
Boyband Connected may have wowed the judges and audience on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent, but the youngsters have since admitted that they were incredibly nervous because they had never performed in public together before.
Earlier today we revealed that band member Harry Mondryk has previously auditioned for all three series of BGT, but never made it past the final 150. While at stage school, he and his brother Max joined forces with Conor, Matt and Miles just five months ago and ‘Connected’ never performed publicly before their audition for the ITV show.
On tonight’s show we saw the teenagers impress Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan with their song and dance routine (VIDEO HERE), but Simon Cowell told them:
“You’re all very cute and look good together but here’s the bad news – this is 15 years out of date.”
Singer Matt told the News Of The World: “We have worked harder because of his comments.”
Thankfully Simon realised the appeal of teen acts (think Justin Bieber!) and put Connected through to the next round.
Max is loving the attention the show has brought. He said: “Lots of girls want to talk to me now, so thanks Britain’s Got Talent.
“My favourite hobby is chasing girls!”
