Britians Got Talent: Thursday’s Semi Final Acts…..

We have been bombarded with questions today, asking which acts will be appearing on tonight’s Britains Got Talent show.

Here is the final list:

James Stone
Charlie Wernham
Harlequin Dance School
Andrew Muir
Boogie Babes
Vizage
Jeremey Lynch
Faryl Smith

My prediction is

that Faryl will be first through to Saturday night’s final from tonight’s show. Who would you like to see make it through?

You know this show has just started to become fun and has had some successes already reported which has been positive for some of the acts turned away.

The positive aspect is that many who we have watched perform will gain work in there regions which means the show has successfully shown that talent does indeed exist in Britain. Unfortunately the show doesn’t do anything for the talent in Britain longer term as the show or entertainment industry does not go out to search for it in those areas which have been left out for the last 20 years. I refer to regional theatres clubs pubs and churches and any other avenue where people entertain themselves and give pleasure to others.

If the television talent shows did a search with real talent scouts and representatives from the music industry they would discover far more and in many cases better than what the show has given. Andrew Johnston does have a lovely voice but there are hundreds of beautifully voiced choristers throughout Britain, almost every cathedral has a choir, a boys choir a girls choir or a mixed choir. Take your pick and sadly they all capture the beauty of the young voice before those changes which nature dictates.

There is a reason why entertainment and music is better in real life and that is simply this:- these are people who work at their art, they work at their craft and it takes years to achieve something truly beautiful and worthwhile. These professionals tend not to go in for reality talent shows as they can’t afford to do so. Entering a talent show can take weeks out of your regional work schedule, sometimes rules of television may prohibit you from returning to it as in most cases 99% it is not your only income source.

I hope the medium of television starts to send out talent scouts rather than depend on people puting themselves forward for talent shows. If they did it could the dawning of a new era for entertainment as a whole and television which is not without its serious critics.

    Faryl Smith should win.

She has a gift that is very special and nobody else has come through the programme with it.

Faryls gift is from birth, it is her birthright a gift, a genius, a level of refinement, that is spiritually holy. She will develop further in the years to come. She will make a fortune in her youth and the industry will to.

A gift is as natural as the air you breathe, it is not a skill that can be taught as it is within you, it is not a skill that can develop overnight as many would love it to. The gift is from god. Its nurturing and development produces the end result as a truly refined instrument a beautiful voice.
