Aw bless, David Walliams received a card from his beloved little dog Bert on Fathers Day yesterday.

The proud daddy posted his little Border terrier puppy’s card saying: “Look what I received today from my boy…! What a cutie!”

The night before daddy David, mummy Lara Stone and baby Bert celebrated dad’s day at George’s Restaurant in Mayfair.

Later that day someone else had a special day: David’s long term buddy Iddo Goldberg. The actor, most famous as Ben in Secret Diary of a Callgirl, got married to Revenge actress Ashley Madekwe.

Walliams was best man together with other close chum David Schwimmer. David revealed: “Me and David Schwimmer just made a best man’s speech at a wedding. We were in competition to be our friend Iddo Goldberg’s favourite David. Schwimmer accused me of trying to revive my career by doing a charity swim and I asked him if there was an Oscar for Best Gay Giraffe Voice!”

The Davids have been close friends for quite some time – ever since Schwimmer presented the charitable actor with and award for his Channel swim in 2006. The pair’s closeness was seen by many this weekend when they paid a very public bromance style visit to the Tate Modern. At the wedding their best man speech went down a treat with another celebrity chum, Mischa Barton who Tweeted:

“What an incredibly funny + amazing speech by David Walliams & David Schwimmer @smashleybell + @iddoGoldberg’s wedding”

Fellow actor Tolga Safer said: “Was a little nervous having to give a wedding speech after the 2 David’s gave their fantastic comical one. But think I did a good job!”

The bride’s brother Archie Madekwe wrote:

“What an amazing day, couldn’t love you more (Ashley). You couldn’t have found someone better then IddoG (sic), love you both.”

Sob, so romantic!! We wish we could have been there!!
