David Walliams misses “his Simon” and bought presents for everyone at Britain’s Got Talent final
David Walliams seems to have started missing Britain’s got Talent the moment it ended on Saturday night, if Stephen Mulhern is to be believed. The funny More Talent host revealed on This Morning:
“He’s the oddest man. The final day, we all know once you had a big night you go out and celebrate. He texts me at 7:30 in the morning going:
“Did you have a good time?” So I put the phone back down. Half an hour later: “Please don’t ignore me.”
Later that day David seemed to be pining for one Got Talent aspect in particular, taking to his Twitter he told the world:
“I miss my Simon…”
He also praised the team that worked on the show, adding:
“The BGT final peaked at 14.5m viewers last night. Congratuwelldone team BGT!”
The team, in the form of previously mentioned Stephen Mulhern, also had nothing but praise for David, with Mulhern saying:
“Out of the six years this was the best [final]. Because David Walliams has been so brilliant he sort of lightened [Simon] up a tiny bit. Honestly, everyone was in such a good mood there was a chance that Simon could have got up [to dance with Pudsey]. Honestly, he has transformed him.”
He also revealed that David brought a sweet little touch along with him on the final night:
“I got a lovely pressy of David. Do you know something: David gave everybody a present, and he gave me a passport holder with my initials on it.”
Cute.
