Last night David Walliams was one of the stars present at the premiere of Great Expectations, along with Helena Bonham Carter Ralph Fiennes and Robbie Coltrane.

David looked very proud to be part of the new Dickens adaptation and attended the screening with his wife and mother.

Earlier he said:

“The themes of these novels are evergreen. They always seem relevant to the next generation.”

“Even though there have been fantastic versions of Great Expectations, the modern and young audience wants a new version.”

David, who stars in the movie as Uncle Pumblechook, was kind and relaxed and enjoyed the evening, posing with fans along the way.
